About
I am a full-stack and backend engineer with over 10 years of experience spanning banking, startups, and independent projects. My journey began with competitive programming, ranking in the top 300 in Guangdong NOIP, followed by studying at Beijing Forestry University before dropping out to pursue a self-directed path in technology. I later founded Fun Live, a knowledge live-streaming startup, where I handled most engineering and product decisions and grew the platform to tens of thousands of users. After the startup phase, I worked as a contractor for major financial institutions, including DBS Bank and HSBC, gaining experience in large-scale backend systems, distributed architectures, and cloud infrastructure.
Currently, at TEKsystems (outsourced to HSBC Bank), I focus on backend systems, automation, and AI-assisted development. My work spans Java/Spring backend development, full-stack applications with an emphasis on practical engineering, automation, and continuous learning. I enjoy tackling complex systems, optimizing workflows, and building tools that make software development more efficient and reliable.
In recent years, I have deeply integrated AI into my workflow, developing custom agents, prompt pipelines, and tools to automate coding, testing, documentation, and analysis. I actively experiment with LLM APIs, local models, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and evaluation methods, exploring how AI can reshape software engineering. My interest lies in AI-augmented development, developer productivity, and using machine intelligence to rethink how robust systems are built and maintained.
My philosophy is inspired by independent thinkers such as Yin Wang, emphasizing truth-seeking, intellectual honesty, and first-principles thinking. I prefer simple, understandable systems over unnecessary complexity and am drawn to open-source software, self-hosting, and technologies that enhance individual freedom, autonomy, and long-term sustainability. As a self-taught, product-minded engineer, I enjoy building practical systems and exploring new ideas, valuing autonomy, deep thinking, and hands-on execution. I am particularly interested in backend, full-stack, or applied AI roles where I can contribute to robust, thoughtful products while supporting open, independent, and forward-thinking technology.
